Coaching & Philosophy

Who is the head coach of JC Performance Training?

Juan Campillo Casas is the Founder and Head Coach. He brings a global perspective from his elite academy experience in New Jersey, international training in Colombia and Costa Rica, and a Division II collegiate career at Mercy University.

What is the core coaching philosophy?

Our philosophy centers on technical precision, tactical understanding, and mental resilience. We merge high-repetition drills with professional performance standards to build complete athletes.

How many coaches are on the JC Performance Training staff?

While Coach Juan leads the program, our staff includes a dedicated team of professionals, including coaches like Julian, Alex, and Chris. Every coach shares the same commitment to excellence and positive reinforcement.

Are the training sessions intense?

Sessions are designed to be high-intensity and challenging to stimulate growth, but they are always balanced with a positive, encouraging environment to keep players engaged and motivated.

1-on-1 & Small Group Dynamics

Are the drills specific to my child's field position?

Yes. Every drill in our 1-on-1 sessions is specifically selected based on the player’s position, current strengths, and areas that require further development.

Will this training help a player who lacks confidence?

Absolutely. The private setting provides a safe space for players to master new skills and take risks without the pressure of a full team. This method naturally builds strong on-ball confidence.

Do the players in a small group need to be at the same skill level?

We purposefully group players of similar skill levels. This promotes healthy competition and mutual growth, allowing the session to flow effectively without leaving anyone behind.

Is small group training more affordable than individual sessions?

Yes, small group training provides high-level professional instruction and personalized feedback at a more accessible price point per player.

Team Training & Logistics

What is the advantage of bringing in a club-neutral coach?

An outside professional perspective is highly effective at identifying tactical gaps and technical blind spots that might be overlooked in daily club routines.

Will this replace our current team coach?

No, this is a supplemental service. It is designed to introduce a fresh coaching voice that re-energizes athletes and encourages them to elevate their performance standards during the regular season.

Can the team sessions be customized for specific goals?

Yes, we tailor team sessions to match your team’s specific formation, style of play, or preparation strategy for upcoming tournaments.

What should my athlete bring to the session?

Players should arrive with proper soccer attire, cleats or turf shoes (depending on the location), shin guards, and plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the high-intensity drills.

Gym-Based Performance

Is Performance Training only for soccer players?

No, our gym-based performance sessions are designed to support the unique physical demands of athletes across various sports.

How does this training help prevent injuries?

We focus heavily on mobility, joint stability, proper mechanics, and effective stretching routines to keep athletes healthy and resilient throughout demanding competitive seasons.

Can gym training improve my speed on the field?

Yes. We implement targeted strength programs specifically engineered to translate gym progress into explosive power, faster sprints, and a higher vertical jump.

Is it safe for youth athletes to lift weights?

Yes, under professional mentorship it is highly beneficial. We provide expert guidance on gym safety, proper lifting technique, and long-term athletic development tailored to the athlete's age and physical maturity.
